About Us
Excavating Trench Contracting, a utility company headquartered in Miami-Dade County with offices in Miami and Coral Springs, is a family-owned and operated underground utility contractor with over 40 years of industry experience.
Charles Davis Jr., our CEO, began working in the industry in 1982 for Florida Power & Light as a Lineman and soon after became a Foreman at Pompano Service Center. He later went on to take over his father’s construction business and eventually founded Excavating Trench Contracting in 2012, along with his son, Charles Davis III. His son started his career at ETC working for the family business in 2004 after graduating from Florida Atlantic University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing and a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Management.

We are recognized in our industry for completing numerous concrete-encased duct bank and manhole projects in some of the most complex areas of South Florida, particularly Miami Beach. By taking pride in always doing as we say, we have formed many exceptional working relationships with various municipalities as well as our partners at Florida Power and Light.

ETC is a reputable company that specializes in excavating, dewatering, well point installation/removal, installing concrete encased duct banks of all sizes and quantities, including and not limited to manhole installations of all sizes (5x5, 8-2 way, and 4-way).
